COMPLIMENTARY VEHICLE ORIENTATION, AUTOPILOT AND FSD If you haven't driven a Tesla before, please allow at least 10 or 15 minutes for a complimentary vehicle orientation, to make yourself familiar with the car and to ask any questions you may have. During the term of the rental, the host will be available to answer questions, including assisting you in planning road trips and providing reasonable general support. Use of the Autopilot driver-assistance feature is discretionary. You have the option to enable or disable Autopilot, but either way, you are required to keep your hands on the wheel and pay attention at all times ready to intervene at a moment’s notice, as the driver is always 100% responsible for the vehicle and its occupants. It should be noted, the current Australian version of Autopilot is very different from the US version. It has been designed to only be used on freeways and major highways with clear white markings, no roadworks and clear visibility. DISCOUNTS AND COMPLIMENTARY DELIVERY You will notice, if you book a term longer than 2 days, the daily rate works out lower. It's because discounts apply for multi-day and longer-term rentals at the following rates: 2 days - 5% 3 days - 10% 5 days - 15%, 7 days - 20%, 14 days - 25% 28 days - 30%. >28 days - $80 to $225 per day (Specific long-term rates available upon request.) For rental periods longer than seven days, we may also offer complimentary delivery and pickup for most suburbs within a 50km radius of Joondalup, including Perth Airport 🛬. For shorter rental periods, no fees apply for Joondalup and surrounding suburbs with a fee of $50-$75 being applicable within other Perth metropolitan areas. Please note, all vehicle deliveries, whether free or paid, are restricted to the hours from 9AM to 9PM. If available, deliveries outside these times incur an additional fee of $150 per delivery, ($300 after midnight or before 7AM), however, this may be waived upon request for rental periods of two weeks or longer. ONE-WAY RENTALS If you need to rent the car in one place and return it in another, please let the host know as arrangements may be able to be made at reasonable rates. The following locations may be available: Bunbury, Eaton, Busselton, Dunsborough, Margaret River, Williams, Lancelin, Jurien Bay, Dongara, Geraldton, Northam, York, and Merredin, however, please make a request with your booking if you require other nearby locations. A minimum 3-day rental period applies. DRIVING RANGE AND CHARGING CABLES Electric vehicle range can be affected by many factors including driving style, average speed, the weather and road conditions, just to name a few. This car has the typical Model 3 Long Range Performance driving range of approximately 300km to 500km. (The range can exceed 500km if driving in a conservative manner, at lower speeds and/or in city start/stop environments with ample opportunity for regenerative braking.) This car comes with all the charging cables/adaptors you are likely to need, including a genuine 7.5m Tesla Type 2 Mennekes charging cable as well as a Tesla Universal Mobile Connector (UMC) enabling charging on 10A (regular household power points) and relatively faster 15A charging. It also includes a UMC ‘pig tail’ enabling charging from 32A sockets, however, if you are planning on taking longer trips that require 3-phase charging, please inform the host at the time of booking as a 5-pin 32A three-phase charging cable may be made available to you. INSURANCE AND EXCESS We are not permitted to, and we therefore do not provide insurance advice, but we can share valuable insights based on our clients' experiences and pass on some factual information which may be helpful. Tesla cars are expensive vehicles. For example, wheel rim scratches and scrapes can cost $300 per wheel or much more. In the event of any minor damage to the car, any repair will be quoted by a Tesla-approved body shop or collision centre and payable by the renter. In the event of more extensive damage, the insurance excess can be $7,500 or more. and the renter's / guest's liability may not be limited to and may significantly exceed the excess amount. You are therefore strongly encouraged to purchase additional RentalCover at the time of booking. RentalCover may cover minor damage and other damage and reduce your excess to $0 See: https://rc.xcvr.co/evee/ or rentalcover.com TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE The Tesla Model Y Performance will generally be provided with a minimum charge of 70%. You may return the vehicle with a 70% to 80% state of charge or alternatively a fee of $5 may apply for each 10% below 70%. For example, at a 30% state of charge the fee would equal $20. It is a requirement that the battery state-of-charge remain above 20% at ALL times and ideally above 25% whenever possible. (All Teslas disable some of their functions such as cabin overheat protection at a 20% or lower state of charge). When charging the car, the state of charge level should be set to 80% for daily and city driving. A higher state of charge such as 90%, 95% or even 98% or 100% may be set if required, but the battery level should not sit at a state of charge higher than 80% for longer than 10, 15 or 30 minutes. If a battery level exceeding 80% is required, please time your charging so that you begin driving the car as soon as the car has reached the desired charge level. This can be done by using slower chargers, reducing the charge rate on AC chargers or by beginning to charge at a later time. If you have any questions, please ask the host. Please ensure you remain contactable and provide accurate details while communicating well. Free delivery, if available, is limited to a single trip to deliver the car and/or a single trip to pick it up at the end of a minimum 7-day booking. If the booking is shortened, if you arrange the wrong pick-up location or time, if the delivery or pick-up is to take place outside the hours of between 9AM and 9PM, if you are a no-show, if you can't provide a valid driver’s license, or if the handover cannot proceed for any other reason, a delivery fee of $120 will be charged for each delivery and/or pick-up trip. Please note, parking fees, if any, will be passed on to you via the platform at the end of the booking period. If there are any last-minute changes or if there is anything urgent please call your host rather than messaging or texting as the messages may not be received or read in time. The car is to be returned in the same clean condition as was provided, otherwise a cleaning fee may apply. Please do not consume any food or drinks other than water in the car. If you need to clean the car, please either use a professional detailing service, hand wash and/or vacuum it or use a touchless car wash also known as a laser car wash. Please do not use other automated car wash services as these are not designed to be used with premium vehicles. The Tesla shared with you by the owner will be connected to a Tesla account with the owner's credit card on file. Hence, any Tesla charging and Supercharging costs incurred during your rental period will be automatically billed directly to this credit card. While some hosts may add administration or other fees, we do not mark up Tesla charging or Supercharging fees and pass them through at cost. After the conclusion of your rental, you will receive a screenshot of the incurred fees and be billed through the rental portal. ALL drivers must be over 30 years of age and registered at the time of making the booking. In other words, if more than one driver is to drive the vehicle they also have to be registered and included in the rental agreement. Strictly NO smoking/vaping and NO pets allowed in the car. Strictly NO driving on any unsealed roads, race tracks, drag strips or any off-road tracks, areas, beaches and so on, as insurance will be void. Please note: this car may be equipped with an Apple AirTag and/or video cameras, and/or other security devices that may collect driving data including vehicle location, mileage, driving behaviour, and time driven. This information may be shared with third parties for vehicle recovery, insurance or other similar purposes. By booking this vehicle you consent to the use of the devices. During the rental period, the renter/guest is responsible for the car at all times, and it is the guest's responsibility to drive safely and adhere to all laws including all traffic laws and regulations. This includes taking responsibility for any traffic infringements, parking tickets, or other fines incurred during their rental period. In the event that a guest incurs such fines, the liability will be transferred to the guest, and the guest will be charged an administration fee of $66 per infringement or fine.
