Performance, battery and range
Powering both variants is a rear-mounted electric motor producing 190kW of power and 290Nm of torque. This is paired with a substantial 78kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack, which Mazda claims will deliver up to 484km of driving range on the strict WLTP testing cycle.
When it comes time to plug in, the CX-6e is equipped with a standard CCS Type-2 charging port. Mazda states the vehicle is capable of DC fast charging from 30 to 80 per cent in as little as 15 minutes, making it highly practical for longer journeys. Premium technology and spacious interior
Despite being classified as a mid-size SUV, the CX-6e borders on large SUV territory. It measures 4,850mm long and 1,935mm wide, sitting on a lengthy 2,902mm wheelbase. This footprint translates to a spacious cabin designed around the Japanese concept of “ma” — the beauty of empty space. The boot offers 468 litres of cargo capacity, expanding to a cavernous 1,434 litres with the rear seats folded flat.
The technology suite is comprehensive. The GT grade includes a massive central touchscreen display, a 50-inch active driving display (head-up display), a 360-degree view monitor with “See-Through View”, and a premium 23-speaker audio system.
