Impact is about using business

as a force for good

Our mission is to accelerate the adoption of EVs powered by renewables to support a cleaner future for all.

Australia needs to get back on track to meet its climate targets. The transport sector is where we can make a big impact as it is the country’s second largest source of greenhouse gas emissions. To do that, and limit global warming to 1.5°C, we need to transition to electric vehicles. Fast.

This year we saved 53 tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere

Emissions savings were calculated using an average 160 km travelled per rental day and an average 0.15 kgCO2/km produced by a petrol car.

We’re now a certified B Corporation

Having a positive impact on people and the planet is at the core of what we do. As a B Corp, we’re part of a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact.

The B Corp movement is a global movement of People Using Business as a Force for Good®. Together, we are shifting our economic system from profiting only the few to benefitting all, from concentrating wealth and power to ensuring equity, from extraction to regeneration, and from prioritising individualism to embracing interdependence.

evee is a carbon-neutral organisation

In 2022 we offset our company emissions to become carbon-neutral.

This is just the first step. Now we’re focusing our efforts further upstream to reduce emissions at the source.

331

trees planted

We use Trace to offset our carbon emissions, which helped plant 331 trees and fund other carbon sequestration and reduction projects like:

Generating clean wind energy, India

23

Katingan Peatlands Conservation, Indonesia

14

Efficient cookstoves, Nepal

14

Coorong Lakes Biodiversity Conservation, Australia

Cool Fire Traditional Land Management, Australia

Total CO2 Emissions Breakdown for 2022 - 57.8 Metric Tons CO2e

Our emissions are split into the following categories:

  • Electricity 13%
  • Business travel 3%
  • Employee commute 0%
  • Purchased goods & services 84%

Our vision is a world powered by net-zero transport

And we need to do more than just electric car-sharing to get there. That’s why evee will also:

Advocate for electric vehicles and a renewable Australia.

We’re using our voice to ask for real and lasting change; attending climate marches, educating customers and signing open letters.

Commit 1% of revenue to environmental charities.

This year we financially supported Solar Citizens, Seed Indigenous Youth Climate Network and the Environmental Defenders Office. We also supported in the form of volunteer hours.

Reduce our organisational emissions by 5% every year.

The majority of our company emissions (84%) come from purchased goods and services, so working with suppliers to help them decarbonise is our priority.

We are actively working towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Including reducing air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, improving access to clean technology and increasing renewable energy share.
