We make our entire booking process as simple as possible. There are no booking fees, credit card surcharges, membership fees, or any other hidden fees charged as part of the booking. Rental insurance amounts are already factored into the amounts that the hosts advertise.
There are circumstances where you may incur additional costs separate from the booking fee. Circumstances include exceeding the distance paid for, tollway and Supercharger costs, or if the vehicle is returned in a poor state.
Is there a limit on the distance I can use my car for?
Our hosts will make it clear whether there are limitations on distance as part of their listing. As with the price, this differs from host to host. Some listings may come with unlimited kilometres, so check each listing if this is something you require.
If there is a stated daily allowance and your booking is for more than one day, the limit becomes accumulative rather than daily. For example, if you hire a car for three days and there is a daily allowance of 200 kilometres, you will have 600 kilometres to work with over the entire duration of your rental period.
Do I need to register an account to hire a vehicle?
Yes, you need to register with us before hiring a vehicle. We will need your:
- Name
- date of birth
- driver’s licence number
- Stripe ID verification. As part of this, you will need to upload a photo of yourself to verify your identity.
Fortunately, the process is simple and straightforward, only taking minutes. Our hosts will make it clear whether there are limitations on distance as part of their listing. If you are planning a longer road trip – such as a drive to the Glass House Mountains or north to Noosa – we recommend selecting a listing with unlimited kilometres or discussing your plans with the host in advance.
